Oregon’s electric cooperatives continue to look to our history to find solutions to modern challenges. This includes challenges at home in Oregon and challenges abroad to meet the growing needs of our society.

Over a quarter of Oregon’s electric cooperatives are actively working to do the same thing we did during the early days of electrification – bring necessary services to communities who would otherwise never get them. This time we’re doing it with broadband. Some of Oregon’s electric cooperatives are partnering with existing small internet service providers while others operate broadband subsidiaries to utilize existing electrical infrastructure to deliver broadband to some of the most sparsely populated, hardest to reach regions of the state.
