ORECA would like to extend an invitation to you to attend our upcoming Mid-Year Meeting. This event will provide an excellent opportunity to hear updates on wildfire litigation against electric utilities, a growing resource gap in the Pacific Northwest, new ways to communicate about rate increases at a time when costs of living are straining budgets, utility service territory acquisitions, and much more!
Director Training
In addition, we are offering the new NRECA course, Advanced Capital Credits on July 7, the day before the meeting – designed for deeper, more practical, board-level conversations on Capital Credits.

What You Will Hear
Ryan Flynn — President, Pacific Power
Ryan Flynn will share insights on the Wildfire Litigation Against Electric Utilities. A longtime PacifiCorp leader with deep legal and regulatory experience, he now oversees the utility’s strategy and regional operations.
Mary Wiencke — Executive Director, Public Generating Pool
Mary Wiencke will address Dwindling Resource Adequacy in the Pacific Northwest. She brings extensive expertise in transmission, markets, and regional energy policy from leadership roles across the utility sector.
Paul Timm – VP of Marketing, National Rural Electric Cooperative Association
Paul brings more than 25 years of experience leading marketing, digital, and growth initiatives across industries. He will present on NRECA’s new Lexicon Project, designed to help co-ops communicate about cost and affordability in a way that can build trust and understanding to mitigate backlash against cost pressures.
Jackie Wiles — USA Olympic Alpine Skier
Jackie Wiles will discuss her journey to becoming a 2026 Winter Olympic medalist. A Pacific Northwest native, she is known for her resilience, overcoming multiple career-threatening injuries to return to world‑class form.
